Final Decree

Once either the case has settled at mediation or has come to a final resolution in trial, the final order in a divorce case is entered by the Court. This is called the Final Decree. The Final Decree is the last document in the divorce process and puts an end to all disputes during the divorce process. After the Final Decree has been filed and the terms of the final decree have been presented and confirmed in front of a Court, the couple is divorced.
