The 39 year-old father, who made headlines last year after allowing his nine year-old daughter to drive the family mini van because he was too drunk to drive, has been sentenced to two years of probation.
Last October, Detroit-area gas station security cameras caught his daughter driving the van up to a gas pump. Her father got out and allegedly bragged to the people inside that his daughter was a good driver and even called her his designated driver.
The man admits to struggling with alcoholism and says he has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree child endangerment and allowing a minor to operate a motor vehicle.
