The assault took place on the 3200 block of Produce Row on February 22. According to officials, the woman was at the bus stop when a man approached her and tried to talk to her. When she ignored him, he followed her on the bus and became increasingly more aggressive.

Two Houston Dynamo players, backup goalie Tyler Deric and recently drafted Warren Creavalle, were arrested early Sunday morning outside of Roosevelt Lounge.

The 23 year-old Deric has been charged with felony assault on a public servant after, according to his attorney, they were denied entrance into the bar because his teammates were African American. The Houston Police Department claims that Deric slammed an off-duty police officer, who was working security, to the ground causing serious injury.

Creavalle was charged with misdemeanor interference. Both players made bail and are in California with the rest of the Dynamo team.

Officer fired after involvement in fatal drunk driving crash

A Katy police officer was fired from the department after it was discovered that his truck was involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 10 last week.

The officer was not driving the vehicle, but the Katy Police Department states that it could not condone his careless decision to allow a drunk man to get behind the wheel. A 48 year-old woman and her 12 year-old son were killed when the officer’s friend hit their disabled vehicle.

The mother had pulled over to the shoulder of the interstate after getting a flat tire. The truck then hit their car, causing it to burst into flames. The driver is facing two counts of intoxication manslaughter. The officer has the option to appeal his termination.

Two 10 year-old special needs boys have been accused of aggravated sexual assault of an 8 year-old classmate on a HISD bus.

Police say that the assault was caught on the bus’ video camera and that, despite the boys’ ages, its investigation had lead to charging the boys with a serious crime. The alleged attack took place on August 25, 2011, but it wasn’t until five days later that parents were notified.

The 8 year-old victim, who suffers from ADHD, was suspended from Thompson Elementary School back in August for what administrators called inappropriate behavior. The two 10 year-old boys are currently in custody.
