If I have been sued by a creditor and a judgment has been taken against me, can I get the judgment removed from my report?
Sometimes, under certain circumstances. If the judgment is legitimate (meaning you owe the debt, but just didn’t pay) it is difficult to remove the judgment from your report. The credit repair attorneys at Garg & Associates can negotiate with the judgment creditor to pay off the judgment at a reduced amount, but it will likely remain as a judgment on your report. However, if you dispute the judgment, sometimes courts are slow to respond to requests for verification of the judgment from the credit reporting agencies (30 days) and the entry will be dismissed.
