Hearing for Temporary Orders

Smith & Garg - North Houston Attorneys

Temporary OrdersIf the parties fail to settle agree on some basic temporary orders during mediation or at a dispute resolution center, there will be a hearing held in front of the judge to decide the issues.  This is basically a mini-trial.  The issues which are generally decided during a hearing for temporary orders are issues which the living conditions while the divorce is resolving, either by trial or by settlement.  These issues include, but are not limited to:  temporary spousal support, child support, payments of debts, living conditions, and visitation if children are involved.  If at all possible, it is best to avoid the time and expense of this hearing, especially in a highly contested case.  Often times, there are multiple witnesses presented during these hearing and they, aside from deciding on some temporary orders, really do not help the process in any meaningful way.

If you are in the process of getting a divorce or have already been served with divorce papers, you need the help of a competent and aggressive Conroe Divorce Attorney or a Spring Divorce Attorney.
